Signs that you may need to replace yours.
Monday, November 08, 2021
The average life expectancy of a residential furnace is about 15 - 20 years.
If yours is approaching that age, you probably need to consider replacing it over the next couple years.
Some signs that it may be time to put your old furnace to rest and bring in a new one is:
- Dry air
- Unusual noises or smells
- Frequent repairs
- Temperature control issues
- More dust in your home
- Higher utility bills than usual
- Age of the unit
- Poor health of family members
Don't ignore the signs of your poor, old furnace meeting the end of its road. It will just end up costing you more money in repairs or make life uncomfortable when it doesn't do it's job.
